    More Information

The BeamMed Sunlight MiniOmni Portable Bone Density Ultrasonometer is a useful instrument in scanning for bone density. Osteoporosis usually affects those 50 and over, especially those that have risk factors or have broken a bone after the age of 50. Osteoporosis occurs when bones become weak and thus have a higher likelihood of breaking. While there is no cure, treatment can be given to help, especially when caught early. Bone density scans can help to see bone density and determine the best course of action.

The OmniMini weighs less than 2 lbs and is approximately the weight of a hardcover book, but delivers incredibly accurate and convenient results. The small size of the device makes it great for multiple location use, such as a hospital, health fair, home visits, and more.

The device plugs into a Windows 7 and above PC and laptop to read real-time results and track bone density for progress. The software graphs the information in an easy to read format.

The OmniMini does not require the patient to take clothes off and is completely non-invasive. The OmniMini is ultrasound-based, so theres no ionizing radiation, making it completely safe. Patients and physicians will be more comfortable with no uncomfortable bending in order to scan bone density.

BeamMeds patented Omnipath Axial Transmission Technology records the measurement of the speed of ultrasonic waves to measure bones density, cortical thickness, elasticity, and microstructure to create an extremely accurate report. The OmniMini wont show results if the cycles are inconsistent, helping provide a quality check that keeps data accurate.

The standard warranty on the device is 12 months from the date of delivery to the user. An option to extend the warranty at the end of the year or purchase a longer warranty in advance is available.

"I use this Portable Bone Density Ultrasonometer almost every day on my patients. I love the precision, and the portability of this device! Performing a DEXA scan is so important in measuring bone density to prevent osteoporosis, and I rely on this device in the preventative care for my patients. I highly recommend this brand and device!"

"We rotate this one device amongst our 4 locations and have even started screening women in the mammography waiting rooms of all locations as well."

"Very easy to use and get the peak bone-mineral density scan results that I need for my patients. This device is critical for our practice!"

"This BD scanner is packed with sophisticated technology, though so simple to use! The results using this Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry device are super-accurate, and provide the test results that I reply upon. -Dr. Vinay Jindal"

"If you are a postmenopausal woman or man aged 50 or older, and if you have recently broken a bone, you should talk to your doctor or healthcare provider about getting a bone density test if you have never had one. A bone density test will tell you if you have normal bone density, low bone density (also called osteopenia) or osteoporosis. It is the only test that can diagnose osteoporosis, and the lower your bone density, the greater your risk of breaking a bone. Definitely recommend knowing your T-score (bone density levels compared to a healthy 30-year old!"

"Medicare ($35-$50) and most private insurance companies ($75) reimburse which gives the operator and practice unlimited potential for revenue and investment in capital returns. With its ease, portability, and accuracy, this will device will draw and attract new patients!"

"A great-and-early detection method for bone density loss...this provides peace of mind for physician and patient alike."
