The Amfibi XL Bariatric Shower Chair by TR Equipment places a high priority on patient safety; for starters, it has safe-locking swivel casters that allow it to be wheeled in and out of tubless showers. This gives caregivers the ability to easily assist the patient with transfers. The height-adjustable nature of the chair allows caregivers to raise or lower the chair to suit their height and comfort level; the unique pillar design is electrically operated for smooth, even transitions at the touch of a button.

Both ergonomically-designed armrests can flip up for better access during bathing, as well as facilitate simple transfers into and out of the chair. The backrest is adjustable to best suit the patient's comfort and is machine washable. The footrests are detachable for when they are not needed, and both footrests swing out for more convenient transfers as well.

The soft seat of the chair is adapted for proper upright posture that won't close the pelvis region, and reduces pressure on the hips. A hygiene opening in the seat, in conjunction with a bedpan, allows the chair to be used as a commode for maximum versatility.
