The Alenti Height-Adjustable Bath and Shower Chair is an all-in-one solution for getting a patient comfortably and safely through the bathing process with only one caregiver. The low, wide chassis slips easily under most bedframes without sacrificing stability, and the battery-powered height adjustability allows the seat to be raised or lowered until it is at the optimal height for transfers. Both the backrest and safety bar swing backwards out of the way, allowing caregivers to slide the seat onto the patients mattress.
The backrest and seat are seamlessly constructed out of one piece of polyurethane rubber that is both cushiony and comfortable for the patient and conveniently easy to disinfect. For more mobile patients who can sit on their own, the ergonomically-designed seat features rounded edges that smooth the transition and give them more control over the lowering movement. The backrest can be transferred to either arm, allowing patient entry from either side.
A red, U-shaped handle is designed to provide caregivers with optimum control over maneuverability and them to precisely position the patient where needed. The swing-away backrest and safety bar allow the patient to be lowered into a bath; the Alenti is uniquely compatible with the Century, Rhapsody, and Primo Hi-Lo bathing systems, as well as the Prelude Shower Cabinet, SARA 3000, and SARA Plus.
The raising, lowering, and central braking functions are controlled via a handheld remote with clearly labeled buttons; the long cord connecting the remote to the Alenti mast allows caregivers to remain close to patients throughout the entire bathing process, which both reassures patients and ensures caregivers are always able to stabilize patients and act quickly in case of an emergency.
An optional integrated scale system allows caregivers to take the patients weight measurement without having to transfer them to a separate weighing device. A safety belt that comfortably secures the patient to the seat is also available as an optional accessory designed to both stabilize and reassure the patient during movement. Two batteries are included, allowing one to be used while the other is charging and ensuring that the Alenti is always at the ready when its needed.
