In this adult platform crutch, what is the distance (in inches) from the middle of the velcro sleeve to the handle where the hand holds the crutch? I ask because I am a petite adult (5'1" tall) with arm distance of 10.5" from my elbow to the mid palm. I need to be sure this sizing fits. I will soon undergo a total ankle joint replacement and this type of crutch is most reliable for me.

Answer: The grip to the sleeve is fully adjustable so you should not have to worry about it being to small or too big. Also, this crutch accomodates heights from 5 ft tall to 6 ft tall. So you should be just fine with purchasing this item and I wish you luck with your ankle joint replacement.

The lightweight structure of this crutch is perfect for my small frame. Im 411, 102 lbs and this is the best platform crutch Ive had in a long time and the bssst price I found on the internet!

Purchased because unable to use cane in right hand, secondary to wrist surgery and splint on right wrist. Product is well made, stable tip. Removable clip to adjust length, that has: 1) possibility of loss, 2) possibility of breakage 3) I was unable to adjust with only on functional hand, and with the arthritis/weakness in both hands probably could not have removed it to adjust if I had had to good hands. Velco wraps securely around forearm and is easy to attach and remove. Crutch takes some practice to develop a safe walking technique, and suggest you have someone accompany you when first walking with it, as it is very easy to trip yourself, this is advice from a physical therapist. It is very important to get the length adjust correctly. Even though I had concerns about the adjustment pin, I am also unable to adjust the push buttons, and this might be easier for some people, so I gave it 5 stars because it is an innovation.

Platform sleeve product
Im a L1 in complete paraplegic and i use these there r the best that I found But the only problem is with the The Velcro sleeve Its too thin with it being like that this product reps very easily its my second one already

The. Lot that came with the crutch that connects the platform to the crutch was too short.

The bolts that hold the platforms in were too short, I had to buy new ones.

A problem is that vinyl Velcro sleeves tear easily. Ive already had to replace them once (since May) and one is starting to tear again. 8/25/16
