This Proximity Switch by GlassOuse is an adaptive input device that is designed to be used with the GlassOuse V1.3. It can also be used with any other adaptive devices that have a 3.5 mm input jack. Individuals with limited mobility can greatly benefit by using this switch to signal device inputs by detecting motion at various distances from the activation surface.

With an 8.63-cm activation surface, the Proximity Switch is able to send signals to other adaptive devices such as the GlassOuse V1.3 by moving in proximity to the device. The switch is highly sensitive and can detect a variety of different levels of distance. The switch can also be used with any adaptive device through its mono 3.5mm input jack connector.

This switch is powered by (3) AAA or Ni-MH batteries and features a smart battery system that turns off the battery drain after an hour of non-use. Activation feedback can be auditory or visual if needed, but can also be turned off.

Please note that this switch is sold in a quantity of 5. By offering this assistive accessory in a bulk quantity, occupational and physical therapists and medical providers are able to fully accommodate the needs of their patients. Additionally, a bulk quantity ensures an ample supply of replacement pieces in the event of patient incompatibility or disfavor.
