Drive Oxygen Regulators administer a set flow of supplemental oxygen.
Major Parts of Drive Oxygen Regulators
½ T-Handle: Used to tighten the regulator onto the cylinder.
½ Alignment Pins: Help properly mount the regulator onto the cylinder.
½ Seal Washer: Minimizes leaks between the regulator and the cylinder.
½ Hose Barb: Connects to your oxygen cannula and allows you to receive the prescribed amount of oxygen.
½ Pressure Gauge: Displays the remaining pressure in the cylinder. When the gauge reads in the red, be sure to change the cylinder.
½ Flow Selector: Adjusts the liters per minute provided through the regulator and into the cannula. This should be set by your equipment provider as prescribed by your physician.
