Sonia is a teacher of neurodevelopmental movement programs for overcoming learning, behavioral, physical and emotional challenges. She teaches and inspires people of all ages to learn more about enhancing effectiveness through movement and play.
In July of 2006, Sonia completed the 200 plus hours of coursework and field practice required to be certified as a Brain Gym Instructor and Consultant, and she created the Brain and Sensory Foundations Training course, (formerly named Neurodevelopmental Movement Training). This course offers effective, movements for maturing the brain and integrating primitive and postural reflexes. Adults and children report improvement in learning skills, posture, stamina, emotional and physical balance, focus, social skills, and the ability to release stress.
Since then, Sonia has completed over 50 different courses and training programs in neurodevelopmental movement and related fields including Rhythmic Movement, Neuro-Sensory-Motor Reflex Integration, Facial, Oral, Communication, & Fear Paralysis Reflexes, and Neuroplasticity for Children.
