Martin Jansen, OTR/L was born in the Netherlands. He earned his bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
After Graduation Martin worked in The Netherlands for 6 years before emigrating to the United States. There he developed his area of expertise in adult rehabilitation, working in a general hospital as well as a specialty rehabilitation hospital, treating patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Martin has worked in adult rehabilitation for the majority of his career, mainly in acute care, as well as in rehabilitation hospitals with a wide variety of patients. He's also practiced in both an orthopedic setting and neurology settings, continuing to gain experience as well as knowledge through continuing education courses in multiple aspects of care delivery. In his most recent job he succesfully developed an occupational therapy program working with neonatal infants.
Martin holds an Occupational Therapist license from the state of California, and was awarded advanced practice certification in hand therapy and the use of physical agent modalities. Martin is also a licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor.
In 2018 Martin retired from working as an Occupational Therapist and relocated to Spain where he plans to create art with his wife, a ceramic artist, as well as teach yoga and start a massage therapy practice.
