The SmartShade Motorized Shades are available with two optional add-on devices that further enhance their convenience and accessibility. First, the SmartBridge addon connects to the device and provides access to a set of invaluable additional features. These features enable direct voice control of the shades as well as offering group controls that allow multiple devices to work in groups with a single controlling device. Additionally, the SmartBridge allows users to program routines that will automatically raise or lower the shades at designated times or conditions. Finally, the SmartBridge also provides distanced control of the shades, enabling users to raise or lower the shades even when not at home. The second optional add-on is the SmartShade BatteryPack, which removes any wired connection required for the device and provides an impressive 3 to 6 months of battery life before requiring recharging.
