    More Information

The Lumex Clinical Recliner is newly redesigned to better meet the needs of patients in long-term care facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. Using a recliner is a great alternative for the patient while relaxing. The patient will also have more mobility and versatility as the chair can be transported to treatment rooms by using the padded push handle located on the back and the four TENTE swivel casters on the bottom. Three of the casters can be locked by using the easy to locate black tab, keeping the recliner secure and immobile while being used for relaxation. There is also a directional wheel lock that allows the recliner to track straighter when being transported, which takes away a lot of the effort from the caregiver. Compared to previous models, this clinical recliners upholstery is softer and the back contains varied density foam for additional comfort. The seat has also been redesigned to be more ergonomic, provide more support, and of course be more comfortable during long periods of sitting. The improved armrests now are wider and softer with pads for the back of the arm which provides support. Sitting flush with the side panels of the recliner, a high-impact side table can be actuated by the caregiver to conveniently hold prep materials. The table is durable and is designed with tapered edges to make cleaning quick and easy. The side panels can be removed for easier access to the recliner for cleaning and maintenance. At the top of the chair, the headrest can be adjusted forward for extra patient comfort.

The lounge chair is able to be placed in four positions, three for comfort, and a Trendelenburg position, which must be activated by the caregiver and cannot be achieved by the patient in the recliner, for therapeutic uses. The Trendelenburg can easily be quickly actuated by the caregiver by activating the gas cylinder mechanism from the back of the chair. The first comfort position is the standard upright position that is ideal when used during patient transport as well as used for treatment or therapy. Next, the recliner can be placed in the First Recline Position, which can also be referred to as the TV position. As the name suggests, this position is perfect for patient treatment, rest, and reading or watching television. The third possible position is called the Second Recline Position, or the Full Recline position. The Full Recline position is also ideal for treatment, rest, or reading. The Lumex Clinical Recliner has a maximum weight capacity of 290 pounds when evenly distributed. In addition, the chair is available with a heated seat and internal massage mechanism for extra comfort and relaxation.
