To transport, it can be rolled on its rear casters while using the handlebars to direct the movement. It can be conveniently stored under a bed or in a closet. For people that frequently travel, it can fit in most car trunks. Its small footprint is appreciated by those who have storage issues or travel often.

The BestCare PL400EF Lift has a 400-pound weight capacity. It can be used to transfer bariatric patients that have limited floor space. The lift's legs can open up to 37.7 inches, allowing a patient with a larger wheelchair to be lifted.

This lift is equipped with audible safety warnings. An alarm will ring indicating weight overload, low battery, or critically low battery. You can view the LCD screen to see what warning message is being displayed. In case of lift or battery failure, a patient can be lowered by the manual release feature.

    Answer: The PL400EF can lift up to 400 pounds. If more than 400 pounds is lifted, an alarm will sound and the LCD screen will display an Overload Warning.
    How effective is this in transferring patient from wheelchair to automobile?
    Answer: This product is not designed for wheelchair to car transport. For wheelchair to car transport, you would use the "BestLift Patient Lift for Car Transfers 350CT".
