    More Information

Champion Ascent II XL Bariatric Recliner is Ideal for:
    ½ Oncology
    ½ Infusion Therapies
    ½ Dialysis
    ½ Pre/Post Op

    Wall Hugger Design
The Champion Ascent II XL Bariatric Recliner can be positioned just 6" away from the wall and still move through all available positions without touching the wall. This feature, which saves space, ensures that the geri chair does not damage the wall, even when positioned in a full recline.

    Infinitely Adjustable Recline
An actuator, located below the armrests on the outside of the chair, can be pulled up to release the recliner's legrest to a fully open position. This feature puts the Champion Ascent II XL Bariatric Recliner into a TV position. From this position, the patient can easily engage the infinite reclining position by leaning back and finding the most comfortable back seat angle. Another way to recline is to have the patient pull back on the arms.

When moving through reclining positions, the recliner and patient will move forward and slightly up. This keeps the patient's weight centered over the chair for the ultimate in stability. To return to an upright position, the patient can simply sit up into the TV position and pushes down on the leg rest until a click indicates that the legrest is securely folded away and safe for patient exit.

    Fold-Away Side Table
A fold-away side table is located on your choice of the left or right side or both sides of the chair for convenient holding of personal items, beverages, meals, and much more. Simply raise the table and push up on the thumb tab to secure the brackets in place. Two locking hinges provide stability and support.

    Swing-Away Arms
Swing-Away arms make transfers easy and facilitate thorough cleaning for infection prevention. To use the swing-away arm feature, simply release the latch located at the bottom of the recliner arm and swing the arm open up to 180 degrees. From this position, the inside of the arm and chair can be wiped down.

    Removable Seat
A removable seat also helps to prevent infections by allowing better access to the seat. To remove the seat, the chair can be fully reclined to expose yellow knobs on both sides of the chair under the outsides of the seat. Both thumb knobs can be removed and then the chair can be moved back to an upright position, where the seat can be pulled out of the recliner like a drawer. Recliners with heat and massage will have a wiring harness attached to the seat, so they will need to stay attached but can be positioned upright for better access.

    Provides Easy Patient Transport
A push handle, located on the back of the seat, let's caregivers push the resident while seated in the chair for easy transport. Four inch special twin casters allow for smooth transport throughout facilities, and a retractable foot tray gives the resident a place to put their feet during transport. The 225 lb. capacity foot tray, which should be stored away under the chair when not in use, also provides a convenient step when entering and exiting the recliner chair.

    Trendelenburg Tilt Function
The Trendelenburg tilt function places the patient in a flat position, with a 12 degree inverted recline that places the legs above the heart. This position improves blood flow to vital organs and helps increase comfort. The optional Trendelenburg Release is located on the back of the chair so that the caregiver can control the positioning. This option is primarily used in emergency situations.

All casters should be locked prior to any patient entering or exiting the Champion Ascent II XL Bariatric Recliner. For optimum comfort, safety, and control the patient should be positioned with their hips and back in firm contact with the chair back, and the lower legs should be placed against the legrest to help control the different recline positions.

FAQ For Champion Ascent II Power XL Bariatric Recliner

? Have a question about this product? Click here to ask us!
Could you please tell me if this has a three prong plug (grounding conductor) or double insulated power cord?
Answer: This recliner must be plugged into a properly grounded outlet. If the three (3) blade plug does not fit your outlet, I highly recommend having one installed that meets your local codes by an electrician.

I've included the user manual because it has a bit more information regarding the mechanics behind the chair! It can be found on page 34.
